We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Transaction Banking department under Group Business & Transaction Banking division as an Assistant Vice President, Business Analytics.
The Role
A successful candidate in this position will be accountable to support Trade Finance and Cash Management businesses with actionable insights, performance analysis, and strategic recommendations. This role combines deep understanding of Transaction Banking products with strong analytical capabilities to drive business growth, optimize revenue, and enhance client value
Job Description
Business Insights & Performance Analytics
- Analyze business performance across Trade Finance (LCs, BGs, collections, SCF, trade loans) and Cash Management (payments, receivables, liquidity, channels, digital adoption).
- Identify market trends, product opportunities, risk drivers, and client behavior patterns to support product and sales strategy.
- Develop segment-level, product-level, and country-level insights to guide business decisions.
- Perform competitor benchmarking, pricing analysis, and wallet-size estimations.
Dashboard Development & Data Visualization
- Design and maintain dashboards covering revenue, volumes, client profitability, pipeline, utilization, and operational metrics.
- Automate data flows and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and traceability.
- Partner with Technology/Data teams to enhance data structures and improve reporting quality.
Management Reporting & Executive Presentations
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management decks for senior leadership, including narrative insights, commentary, variance analysis, and strategic recommendations.
- Support management papers, business reviews, budget cycles, and forecasting exercises.
- Deliver clear, concise visual storytelling for executive consumption.
Strategic & Ad Hoc Projects
- Support key initiatives such as customer journey enhancements, digital adoption, working capital solutions, and profitability improvement programs.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis on client revenue leakage, fee optimization, operational bottlenecks, and product gaps.
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, Risk, Operations, and Finance partners to drive data-backed decision-making.
Job Requirements
Skills
- Strong analytical skills;
- Proficient in Excel, SQL, and dashboarding tools.
Knowledge
- Understanding of trade and cash management products, their economics, and market trends is a plus.
Experience
- 2 to 6 years of experience in Business Analytics, Data Science or Financial Services consulting.
- Experience developing management-ready presentations in PowerPoint or PowerBI/Tableau/Qlik-Sense.
