Responsibilities:

Prospecting and lead generation

  • To identify and target potential merchants through market research, referrals, cold calling and networking

Product knowledge

  • Conduct compelling sales presentations to showcase the benefits of payment acquiring solution

Relationship building

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers at potential and existing merchants

Proposal development

  • Address client inquiries and objections effectively
  • Prepare proposals outlining the features, benefits and pricing for merchants

Contract negotiation

  • Negotiate terms and conditions with merchants, ensure mutual beneficial to both merchant and the Bank

Pipeline management

  • Maintain and followup with any potential pipeline from various sources

Market Intelligence

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Willing to work on weekends and/or after hours

• Proficiency on Microsoft Excel. Ability to write SQL, JAVA, Python and R would be a plus.

• Good project management skills with effective results focus on business

 

Education / Knowledge

• Diploma/Degree in any fields

• Good business knowledge, understanding of a variety of business practices and familiarity with the banking industry, especially merchant acquiring

• Basic understanding of the evolving digital world on both the demand side (how people / organisations are using technology) and the supply side (emerging technologies).

• Familiar with a variety of innovative project concepts, practices and procedures.
