1.0 Job Purpose:

To oversee and manage all renovation projects within the Bank including develop and implement comprehensive project strategy, create detailed project plans, ensure successful execution and timely delivery of renovation projects to the highest quality standards, within budget while effectively aligning with the bank's overall objectives and goals.

 

Responsible for leading a team of project management and construction professionals in maintaining quality control and regulatory compliance, managing vendor relationships and continuously improving project management practices.

 

2.0 Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Strategy
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project strategy to align with the Bank's renovation objectives and goals.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Create detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.

 

  1. Project Execution and Management
  • Oversee and direct all renovation projects ensuring adherence to project plans, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and resolve any issues or obstacles that arise.
  • Manage project budgets and resources, ensuring cost-effective utilization and efficient project delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.

 

  1. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders e.g. line of businesses, procurement, IT & network team, facilities management, finance teams etc, to align project objectives and secure necessary resources
  • Maintain regular communication channels to provide project updates, address concerns, and manage expectations.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for external vendors, contractors, and regulatory authorities, ensuring effective communication and coordination.

 

  1. Quality Control and Regulatory Compliance
  • Establish and enforce quality control processes and standards to ensure renovation works meet or exceed the bank's expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and reviews to identify and address any deviations from project specifications

 

 

 

  1. Vendor Management
  • Manage external contractors, suppliers, and service providers, ensuring their adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Conduct vendor evaluations and recommendation on technical scoring on selection criteria

Cost competitiveness, rollout expediency and functional efficiency against market best practices and standards in corporate project management functions under banking industry

 

4.0 Experience/ Knowledge Required:

 

4.1 Skills                
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Strong in planning and project execution skills
  • Minimum with a Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or equivalent
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Focus and results orientated

 

4.2 Knowledge

  • Project planning and management
  • Office Restacking, Consolidation and Remodeling works
  • Premises safety & security requirements
  • Financial reporting and understanding
  • Auto Cad & Microsoft Office software & applications

 

4.3 Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years on senior project manager’s role
  • Minimum of 8 years preferably in corporate/office premises or commercial properties
  • Proven track records is essential
  • Related experience and exposure in banking industry
