Assistant Vice President, Social Finance

Job Purpose:
The main person in charge to implement AIS’ Social Finance funding strategy by identifying and developing targeted channel strategies/opportunities across State Religious Authorities (SRA), Government Linked Investment Companies (GLICs), foundations and government agencies. The role focuses on expanding AIS’ Social Finance strategic relations/partnerships through, ecosystem linkages, and omni-channel development to support AIS’ overall business strategies and plans.
Job Responsibilities:
- AIS social funding strategy: Work closely with supervisor in the collaboration with the CEO, Head of Shariah and Head Islamic Business & Government Coverage on development and delivery of social funding strategy which entails identify, secure, and manage funding opportunities to support socio-economic impact programs through Islamic Social Finance instruments such as zakat, zakat wakalah and other forms of funding such as grants, partnerships, sponsorships to achieve the funding KPI.
- Strategic relations/partnership pipeline planning: Responsible to acquire new partners and develop growth plans for existing key partners to support social finance strategy. Prepare funding proposals and ensure the proposals align with partner’s priorities and impact objectives. Work with program team to translate project ideas into fundable proposals and able to deliver ideas to partners through impact communication. Update funding acquisition plans on regular basis to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
- Marketing execution: Handle execution of marketing activities through the support from AIS Marketing and Branding team for social funding acquisition activities in support of overall goals and social funding strategies. Increase social funding acquisition through development and launch of new funding channels and campaigns.
- Relationship management: Nurture positive and fruitful rapport with identified internal and external stakeholders/partners via regular formal and informal engagements, dialogues and collaborations. Be aware of partner’s changing priorities and impact objectives.
- Market intelligence: Be aware of industry/market developments relevant to the changing Social Finance space through (i) own market research; (ii) industry reports and marketing literature; (iii) regular liaisons with regulatory bodies (eg BNM) and informal network of industry/market contacts. Responsible for conducting market research and analysis on industry/market trend to improve/enhance AIS social funding strategy.
- Business performance management: Support supervisor to monitor and provide information on partner’s business deposit/lending status for reporting to CEO on regular basis. Ensure all reports due to management are submitted with accurate information and in a timely manner. Conduct post-campaign analysis for all marketing programs launched and document key learning points for improvement in subsequent program rollouts. Continue to improve existing processes with a view towards improving cost, efficiency and impact.
- Teamwork: Support the overall department deliverables where required, eg. Events, etc

Job Requirements
- Skills:
a. Technical : Writing skills, data analysis, marketing skills and office software proficiency (Microsost Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
b. Soft skill : Negotiation, impact communication, analytic thinking, creative problem solving, relationship building and marketing - Knowledge:
a. A good understanding and passion for social finance space - socio-economic impact programs through Islamic Social Finance instruments and impact funds.
b. General banking/Islamic banking product knowledge
c. Experience in sales/customer acquisition would be an added advantage
d. Experience in developing programs or executing projects would be an added advantage - Experience:
a. Minimum 2 years experience in social finance space in particular sponsorship/partnership acquisition or corporate sales
