Assistant Vice President, Statistical Reporting

Role Purpose

Lead the strategic direction and oversight of regulatory reporting governance to strengthen reporting quality, accuracy, and compliance.

Serve as key advisor to Head , Regulatory and Head of Reporting on governance controls, data quality, and regulatory expectations under BNM’s frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Governance & Advisory

• Lead the design and enhancement of the Regulatory Reporting Governance Framework.

• Provide advisory support on regulatory changes and reporting requirements.

• Review product, system, and process changes to ensure alignment with reporting needs.

2. Policy & Compliance Oversight

• Own and maintain the Statistical Reporting Governance Policy (SRGP).

• Oversee reporting issues, non-compliance cases, and remediation progress.

• Liaise with BNM, Group Compliance, and Group Risk on governance and enforcement matters.

3. Reporting & Escalation

• Prepare and present governance and remediation updates to senior management and committees (e.g., DGC).

• Track action plans and ensure timely resolution of data and process issues.

4. Process Improvement & Project Delivery

• Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, resource efficiency, and system controls.

• Lead regulatory reporting projects from planning to go-live and post-implementation review.

• Identify tools or technologies to strengthen data quality and reporting accuracy.

5. Best Practices & Culture

• Promote strong governance culture across reporting teams.

• Benchmark practices and share lessons learned to enhance overall reporting maturity.
