We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Corporate Banking department under Group Corporate & Institutional Banking division as a Head, Corporate Banking, leading one of the existing teams in the department.
The Role
A successful candidate in this position will be accountable for the following:
- Drive sales activities for Corporate Banking segment to achieve the financial objectives and business targets set by the management.
- Manage a team of Corporate Relationship Managers directly involved in managing a portfolio of designated (existing and new prospect) Corporate Banking customers.
- Manage Corporate Banking business loan portfolio in ensuring minimal credit losses per targets set.
Job Description
- To lead and direct a team of relationship managers directly involved in the managing of a portfolio of designated (existing and new prospect) corporate banking customers to meet the agreed key performance indicators of the team.
- To manage and monitor the day-to-day functional activities/key responsibilities of the team to ensure achieving of the team key performance indicators.
- To spearhead and support the team’s marketing related activities.
- To cultivate and maintain the cross-selling culture of Alliance Bank products by working closely with other key product Groups of the Bank which include but not limited to Investment Banking, Transaction Banking (Cash Management and Trade Finance) and Treasury.
- To be proactive in ensuring proper account management of the team and to ensure satisfactory level of customer service.
- To ensure cordial working relationship between the team and key product partners/internal customers.
- To demonstrate positive attitude towards the building the Bank’s corporate image and strategies.
Job Requirements
Skills
- Strong leadership and people management abilities.
- Strong sales management skills at national / regional level.
- Strong credit and risk analysis skills
- Good interpersonal skills; the ability to interact and negotiate with senior management of corporate clients.
- Good business acumen, market intelligence and market networks.
- General administrative and managerial expertise
Knowledge
- Degree in any discipline
- Strong credit knowledge and analytics skills
- Knowledge of banking practices, products, regulatory environment and money markets
- Good economic and accounting understanding
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of sales and team management abilities at national and regional level in the financial services sector.
- Minimum 7 years of managerial experience with knowledge of banking operations, services and product offerings.
- Proven strong experience and track record of leading and motivating Corporate Banking sales force to drive sales performance culture.
- Strong customer service experience with specific focus on relationship management.
