Internship Overview
This internship offers students a unique opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the inner workings of a leading financial institution beyond traditional front-line banking roles.
As part of the Learning Excellence team within Group Business & Transaction Banking, interns will gain valuable insights into how the Bank develops its people, drives sales capability, supports business transformation, and enables sustainable business growth.
Working alongside experienced banking professionals, the intern will collaborate with stakeholders across various business functions and contribute to projects involving business capability development, stakeholder engagement, project coordination, business reporting and strategic initiatives.
This internship is particularly beneficial for students aspiring to build careers in banking, financial services, consulting, business management or corporate functions, as it provides a holistic understanding of how business strategy, people development and operational excellence work together to drive organisational success.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have opportunities to:
- Support strategic business and capability development initiatives within Group Business & Transaction Banking.
- Assist in coordinating cross-functional projects involving various business units.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support business initiatives and project execution.
- Prepare business presentations, management reports, meeting materials and business documentation.
- Support stakeholder communications and employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist in planning and coordinating meetings, workshops, learning programmes and business events.
- Compile, analyse and present business data using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Support the preparation of business dashboards, project updates and performance reports.
- Assist in documenting business processes and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Undertake other ad-hoc assignments to support departmental and business priorities.
