Role Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented intern to support our bank’s internal sustainability initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in sustainability, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) topics, and a solid foundation in data analysis. You will work closely with the Sustainability team to help manage ESG-related data, support internal projects aligned with our Net Zero 2050 commitment, and contribute to sustainability reporting and compliance efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. ESG Data Management & Analysis

• Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing ESG-related data across departments.
• Support the development and maintenance of dashboards to track sustainability performance.

2. Emissions Reduction & Compliance Support

• Contribute to data tracking and reporting for the bank’s Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions.
• Assist in preparing materials and documentation for internal emissions reduction initiatives.
• Support compliance efforts related to sustainability disclosures, including alignment with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Bank Negara Malaysia guidelines.

3. Internal Sustainability Projects

• Participate in cross-functional meetings to support the implementation of sustainability initiatives.
• Help coordinate internal meetings and sustainability-related events and communications.
• Conduct research on sustainability trends, policies, and best practices relevant to the banking sector.

4. Reporting & Documentation

• Assist in preparing internal reports and presentations for management-level briefings.
• Support the development of sustainability-related training materials and internal communications.
• Support in other administrative duties such as preparation of budget memo, etc.

Requirements:

·         Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

·         Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel; familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.

·         Interest in sustainability, climate change, and ESG topics.

·         Good communication and organizational skills.

·         Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
