We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Business Continuity Management (BCM) department under Group Risk Management division as a Manager, BCM.
The Role
A successful candidate in this position will be accountable:-
- To continually align the BCM strategy to ABG’s operational and business requirements in compliance with the various regulatory requirements.
- To be the primary coordinator and administrator during a crisis / event / incident.
Job Description
BCM Governance Grow merchant base and market share
- To perform periodic review and update on the emergency/crisis contact listing as to ensure the details are up to date for contact purpose.
BCM Activities
- To coordinate with BCP coordinators to conduct and complete BCM activities, i.e. Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessment, Strategies Review, Business Continuity Plans updates and BC Test/ Exercise.
- To conduct review and provide feedback on the draft submission of BCM activities to address any identified gaps in the BCM submission.
- To perform close monitoring and follow up with the BCP coordinators to conduct and complete the BCM activities within the expected timeline.
- To perform health check and verification at the BC sites to ensure readiness for BC test/exercise.
- To review the post BCM test reports prepared by BCP coordinators, to demonstrate accurate test result and in order.
Business Continuity (BC) Reporting
- To collate the details, status and documents needed for preparation of reports as update to management and regulators, for independent and audit review by auditors, consultants and regulators.
BCM Improvement
- To assist and support in preparation of training and awareness materials for BCM briefing sessions/ workshops.
BCM Awareness/ Training
- To assist and support in preparation of training and awareness materials for BCM briefing sessions/ workshops.
BC Site Maintenance
- To assess and review alternate sites to ensure BC sites are in a state of readiness and adequate to support the business continuity in the event of BCP activation.
- To conduct on the periodic maintenance at BCP sites, to ensure readiness of sites to support operations during BCP activation.
- To coordinate on repair works at BCP Sites so that all identified issues are addressed.
- To follow up with BCP coordinators on any additional requirements and monitor on the status and closure of reported issues.
Crisis Management
- To support on the coordination of support and recovery activities and follow up on status updates, during incident and crisis management process.
- Other ad-hoc assignments as required for business continuity related matters.
Job Requirements
Skills
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to handle a myriad of people across all levels.
- Resourceful and adaptable in a changing environment
Knowledge
- General banking functions, operation, products, services and good understanding of the respective processes and requirements.
- Fundamentals of Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management, Disaster Recovery
- Basic knowledge of premises maintenance, electrical and telecommunication requirements.
- General knowledge and usage of standard desktop applications
Experience
- A least a degree holder in any field
- Preferably at least 2 years in business continuity or disaster recovery role
- Familiar with BCM requirements required by respective regulators
- Any certification in business continuity ie planner, practitioner, crisis management, consultancy, enterprise risk management
