We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Transaction Banking department under Group Business & Transaction Banking division as Manager, Trade Product Management.
The Role
A successful candidate in this position will be accountable to manage the Trade product offered by Transaction Banking that will contribute to the department’s business and financial objectives.
Job Description
Business Deposit Product Management
- Coordinate implementation of development initiatives, rollout and implementation planning of trade products, based on sound business case and implementation strategies.
- Work with various touchpoints in the Bank to enhance existing products or to develop new products, based on customer needs, competitor benchmarking, and market research.
- Address day-to-day business process matters such as technical support, operational issues, client service support, legal documentation and any other related tasks assigned.
- Support in the compliance gap analysis study and clearance.
- Handle Regulatory Bodies (e.g. BNM) survey and enquiries.
- Support and prepare for the bank’s audit activities
- Ensure all products adhere to the regulatory requirements (e.g. FEA, BNM, PayNet)
- Support continuous system enhancements/customization based on customer requirements
- Work with support front liners and operation to produce new/change of process and obtain relevant process change authority approval.
- Provide UAT plan and prepare UAT scenario/scope for projects/CR/enhancement.
- Perform UAT execution, testing on BAU monthly release/fixes
- Provide 3rd level support/queries/consult/troubleshooting/provide resolution on respective trade products
- Prepare training materials and necessary documentation/manuals and conduct training for internal sales, customer service and business administration teams.
- Perform regular risk assessment to identify potential risks and report findings to management.
- Create and update internal procedures, such as the escalation protocol, product specific policies and user guides.
- Create and maintain ad hoc management reports, i.e. monthly statistic reports.
- Annual renewal of Trade Product Policy and Vendor Financing paper.
- Conduct customer or product research in collaboration with Market insight, Group Marketing and Branding.
- Support trade finance operations.
- Conduct trade-related training to relationship managers & customers
Performance Reporting
- Prepare reports according to business or compliance/regulatory needs.
- Build and present executive product updates, including performance metrics, delivery status and roadmap status

Education / Knowledge
- Knowledge in Trade products, Trade Operations and ICC Publication (eg. UCP600, URC522, ISP98, URDG etc).
- Understands financial impact such as ROI, compliance requirements, conduct risk assessment and identify any potential risks, and provide reports to management and auditors.
- Good computer knowledge, financial projection and analysis skill.
Experience
- Degree holder in related fields
- 3 – 5 years of specialized experience in Financial Services, including 5 years + in trade product management.
- Solid understanding of trade product and supply chain business and the benefits of core products and services such as payable, receivable, liquidity management, on-line portal, e-delivery channels.
