Key Responsibilities

  • GBTB Innovation team to lead and deliver innovative initiatives and strategic projects to improve the end to end lending journey.
  • Define the GBTB lending capabilities and responsible to lead team or project to develop and implement new innovative capabilities and enhancement to support GBTB long term growth.
  • Lead assessment, delivery and review of all innovation activity across GSME, managing interaction with all key stakeholders.
  • Be part of the team to lead and create the future vision for GBTB innovation, in collaboration with GBTB Strategic Innovation & Ecosystem Development Head, leveraging on internal and external best practices.

Job Description

  • Lead and drive the execution new capabilities and lending application development.  Development can be in-house or working closely with external party.
  • Research emerging technologies to decide if installing them can increase the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness
  • Prepare an analysis of costs and benefits so that management can decide if information systems and computing infrastructure upgrades are financially worthwhile
  • Devise ways to add new functionality to existing systems
  • Analyse business processes and write system process specifications to be used
  • Oversee the installation, configuration and deployment of new systems to customize them for the business
  • Conduct testing to ensure that the systems work as expected
  • Analyse data contained in the bank’s database and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed system and implement solutions.
  • Verify database and data integrity.
  • Serve as a liaison and facilitator between Group SME, Commercial Banking & Corporate Banking and both internal and external parties (such as Bank’s regulatory reporting team, BNM’s CCRIS, etc) to assist in addressing and resolving both system handling logics and parameters.
  • Train the system’s end users and write instruction manuals
  • Synthesize and analyse information from various sources to identify trends, opportunities, and gaps.

  • Good advocate for innovation thinking & culture, to drive the Bank’s innovation agenda, to enhance customer experience and better engage customers in the digital space.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, proactively seeking ways to enhance the capability and performance efficiency, efficacy and success of GSME innovation efforts, by working effectively with relevant internal and external stakeholders to leverage their innovation investments.
