1) Job Description:
a) Strategy: Supporting the planning, coordinating and successful execution of all corporate strategy related activities/ projects/ initiatives, so as to ensure the long-term sustainability of AIS. Play a proactive role in supporting the analysis of business drivers, identification of opportunities for growth and improvements by collating data inputs/ insights from various sources internally & externally.
b) Business Performance: Key accountabilities include undertaking significant amount of complex information gathering, supporting the analysis and monitoring of operational business performances.
2) Key Responsibilities:
a) Corporate Strategic Planning
- To liaise and obtain information / data from various relevant parties for analysis of businesses and performance as required from time to time.
- To support the formulation of Islamic banking (including Capital Markets) financial targets, returns, projects, financial viability etc with the assistance of Business Finance Managers or HODs/ LOBs stakeholders where necessary.
- To support the preparation of business performance and strategy reports and ensure the various business slides are prepared on a timely basis for meetings of AIS Departmental Heads, AIS Board and regulators.
b) Value Management
- To support the management and implementation of projects/ initiatives for Islamic banking, internal and/ or external. To report to the HOD / CEO on a periodic basis of such initiatives with recommended action plans, if required.
- To assist in monitoring, tracking and ensure that projects are implemented in a timely manner.
- To understudy new initiatives of Islamic banking (including Capital Markets), supporting the team/ businesses to determine viability and to prioritise initiatives.
- To liaise with various departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of initiatives.
c) Others
- Be aware of and attune to market developments relevant to the Islamic Banking (including Capital Markets) businesses, through (i) own market research; (ii) industry reports and marketing literature; (iii) regular liasions with an informal network of market contacts.
- Responsible also for conducting desktop market research, surveys and analysis on market trend and competitors’ new propositions.
