We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Islamic Business & Government Coverage department under our Alliance Islamic Bank (AIS) entity as the Vice President, Market Coverage.

 

The Role

 

A successful candidate in this position will be responsible for implementing AIS’ business growth strategy by identifying and developing targeted channel strategies/ opportunities across retail, non-retail and government segments. The role focuses on expanding financing access through strategic partnerships, ecosystem linkages, and omni-channel development to support AIS’ overall business objectives.

 

Job Description

 

AIS Deposits Strategy

  • Work closely with supervisor in the collaboration with CEO, Grp Chief Business & Transaction Banking Officer, Grp Chief Corporate & Institutional Banking Officer, Grp Chief Consumer Banking Officer, Grp Chief Financial Markets Officer and SVP, Strategy on development of deposits strategy to achieve AIS deposit business goals (covering retail, SME and Corporate & Commercial) — defining:
    • NTB target segments
    • Key propositions
    • Execution model and timelines

 

Key Account Planning

  • Responsible for the development of growth plans for AIS' own key corporate clientele covering deposits, transaction banking and (together with RM Business Banking) financing. Regular updating of key account plans to ensure relevance and effectiveness in supporting business goals/strategies.

 

Marketing Execution

  • Handle execution of marketing activities for AIS' deposit products and transaction banking offerings (including corporate online banking, cash management, BizSmart) in support of overall goals and deposit strategies.
  • Increase sales acquisition through development and launch of new deposit products and campaigns. Prioritize and craft tactical responses to relevant ongoing market developments to preserve key clientele relationships and enhance further business development opportunities.

 

Relationship management

  • Nurture positive and fruitful rapport with identified internal and external stakeholders via regular formal and informal engagements, dialogues and collaborations.
  • Avail regular, round-the-clock communication channels for the stakeholders.
  • Attend to all needs, requirements, and requests by the stakeholders.
  • Ensure issues raised by clients are resolved expeditiously, and fed back to the client accordingly.
  • Responsible for delivering consistent growth in client value on a year-on-year basis.
  • Ensure all AIS new key relationships are institutionalized via formal processes (buddy system, account rotations, etc.)

 

Market intelligence

  • Be aware of market developments relevant to the deposit business, through:
    • own market research;
    • industry reports and marketing literature;
    • regular liaisons with an informal network of market contacts. Responsible also for conducting market research and analysis on market trend and competitors' deposit propositions.

 

Business performance management

  • Support supervisor to monitor and provide transparent feedback on deposit business performance to CEO and Board.
  • Provide call reports to CEO on all marketing visits, with clear and doable actions to support further business growth.
  • Ensure all reports due to management are submitted with accurate information and in a timely manner. Conduct post-campaign analysis for all marketing programs launched and document key learning points for improvement in subsequent program rollouts. Continue to improve existing processes with a view towards improving cost, efficiency and customer delight.

 

Campaign management

  • Collaborate with campaign management team to design and rollout deposit campaign for retail and wholesale segments.
  • Provide leads and feedback on campaign and marketing communication opportunities.

 

Subject Matter Expert Support:

  • Provide helpline for internal and external customers.
  • Assist to conduct training and road shows to regularly refresh product knowledge at channels.
  • Maintain good communication with sales teams and channels as well as back office system and operations.

  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
